Tuesday Morning
POOR Riding Conditions continue.
This has been the worst
Winter Riding season for at least 20 years.
The usual stings of 50+ degree afternoons have been all but non-exsistant...until NOW!
Afternoon highs around 60 along with an increasing chance of rain each day through
Friday.Hopefully some of this rain will be heavy enough to start washing away several storms worth of DOT sand-salt covering most roads.
Afternoon highs in the 50's will be with us well into next week.
Lows in the 40's through this Week.
Remember the northern mountains (around Boone) and ridges, are usually
10 -
15 degrees cooler than the southern mountains (around Asheville)
and valleys.

YOU
SHOULD KNOW:CAREFUL - Patch of BROKEN PAVEMENT just
south of BRP on 276 is reported to have taken down several riders
Ranger Alert - Blue
Ridge Parkway Rangers seem to be
paying much more attention to Riders then in years past.
Be especially careful between Asheville
and Mount Pisgah
Those of you to the south, who use Cherokee
Scenic Hwy.(SC Rt. 11) to get into the
Mountains, be aware that the local authorities tend NOT to be biker friendly.
Especially between I-85 and Walhalla, SC.

Please help .....Have you survived an
accident or had an interesting near miss?
Dave Hadden is compiling research for a book about
motorcycle accident survivors. The purpose is to share experiences and insights
that can help others get through similar situations. He is looking for stories
that are entertaining as well as good learning experiences. The object is to
promote safer riding in the readers by building good intuition. We can learn
from each other's mistakes. You will get credit for participating if your story
is included in the final manuscript and you will get a copy. The interviews can
be conducted over the phone and take about 30 minutes. Contact Dave Hadden - david@hadden.com
